S T A T E M E N T

My work is the result of an ongoing experimentation merging collage and painting. I remain constantly intrigued by the juxtaposition of fine arts and crafts. I employ craft materials and techniques in an elevated and thoughtful manner by creating compositions that are modern and fresh using materials that are familiar and timeworn.

Vintage. Modern. Graphic. Textural. Complex. Ordered. Colorful. Earthy. Architectural. Organic.

Harnessing and arranging the ephemera and olio of curiosities collected and coveted. Elevating the mundane and challenging the expected with a visual vocabulary that is diverse and direct. My voice is authentic and single-minded in its clarity and vision.

I’m proud to share my work with others and open their eyes to new ways of thinking about the everyday materials that pass through their life and the emotional connections they have to the relics and keepsakes of their personal history.

Creativity is allowing oneself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
