S T A T E M E N T
I experience the world through color, texture, and light, instinctively arranging visual elements into order. Collage became the natural medium for my voice, allowing me to explore the intersection of painting, fine art, and craft. I work with traditional and handmade materials, recontextualizing familiar, timeworn elements into modern, structured compositions.
My practice is defined by contrasts—vintage and contemporary, graphic and organic, complex yet ordered. By gathering and composing ephemera and everyday materials, I elevate the mundane and invite viewers to see common objects in new ways, fostering a deeper emotional connection to memory, material, and personal history.
“Creativity is allowing oneself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.”
